Welcome to the History Trail – 1050 Years of Bornheim

Dear visitors,

On the occasion of the 1050th anniversary in 2026, the municipal council of Bornheim decided, instead of a short-lived picture exhibition, to create a permanent “history trail.”

Experience the history of Bornheim on 20 boards along the path by the Hofgraben. During a short walk, you will discover interesting and worthwhile facts about life in Bornheim over the past centuries.

If a topic catches your interest and you would like to learn more, you can scan the QR code at the bottom of each board with your mobile phone. You will find additional information, more pictures, contemporary music, and original voices telling their stories.

You will also find QR codes that allow you to read or listen to the texts in English, French, or German.
